RAF to discuss topics to include SB76 (Proposed Senate Bill that will affect attorney fee schedule, mandating a 60-day notice of intent to litigate after the first 90 days, 30 days additional for carrier inspection, reduce the claim reporting period from 3 years after a hurricane or 5 years after a non-hurricane-related loss to 2 years for all claims, roof surface schedules ACV allowed in policy language, and more important issues!), HB305 the house companion, the Consumer Advocate’s agenda to make direction to pay in contracts fall under AOB statute, and discussion on the use of AOB post-July 2019.
